Reading is Required before giving Qurbani
Wakalat Namah (Authorization Statement)- Collective Qurbani
I hereby authorise Mr. Abdul Rehman Attari son of Muhammad Hussain Attari to perform Qurbani on my behalf
either inside Pakistan or in any other country wherever appropriate; to pay all sorts of Qurbani-related expenses (such
as paying fare, etc. while going to the slaughterhouse or to the slaughterer or taking the meat of the Qurbani to
Muslims safely, etc.); to distribute the meat, fat, etc. (which is usually eaten not wasted) of my share to any Muslim in
any permissible way; to give the sales amount of fat and bone which is not eaten nor cooked, to give the skin of the
animal of Qurbani and to deposit remaining amount from the expenses of Qurbani to Dawat-e-Islami. In other words,
I give him full authority to perform aforementioned tasks himself or to delegate it to someone else with the same
authority.
Furthermore, Dawat-e-Islami is allowed to use my remaining amount in any pious and permissible activity. If the
animal in which I have a share becomes ineligible for Qurbani due to any accident or disease, etc., or it dies due to
some reason or if the amount is snatched while going to market for buying the animal and, therefore, the animal is not
bought, then I will be informed in these cases about the dead or alive animal and further proceedings will be carried
out with my permission. My money is in the trust of the person authorized above. Without any misuse, if he loses
my money or animal, then he will not be responsible for paying fine and I will not make any claim
In case you fail to slaughter the animal in time i.e. the days of Qurbani were over then I also authorize you
unconditionally that if you have bought the animal for my share please give it alive in Sadaqah. In case the animal has
not been bought yet, then please give the cost of goat in Sadaqah on my behalf
If a shareholder dies before his Qurbani, then his death must be reported to the Majlis so further matters can be
decided after seeking guidance from Dar-ul-Ifta Ahl-e-Sunnat

Madani pearls for those who receive the Wakalat Namah
Kindly seek prior permission from other adult family members, who are alive (i.e., parents, brother, sister, neighbour,
etc.) on whose behalf you are going to perform Qurbani, in these words: ‘I will have the Qurbani of a share/goat
performed on your behalf, do you permit me?’ If they agree, then every member should read the Wakalat Namah or
it should be read out to them, permission should be taken as per above-mentioned Wakalat Namah only, as this
permission letter is approved by the Dar-ul-Ifta Ahl-e-Sunnat. Those who agree to the above-mentioned permission
letter after reading or listening to it and understanding it, only their Qurbani should be included in the collective
Qurbani (Overseas) performed under the supervision of Dawat-e-Islami. Furthermore, in case of compulsion, if
someone makes a phone call, this permission letter should also be read out completely to him and complete
permission should be taken from him for the relevant Islamic brother (Mr. Abdul Rehman Attari).
Note: Recognizing the needs of Muslims, the Collective Qurbani Majlis has decided that besides Pakistan, some
Qurbanis will be performed outside Pakistan as well. There will be no extra charge for it. Therefore, according to this
permission letter, the authorized individual will have the right to perform Qurbani on your behalf within Pakistan or
abroad under all the relevant laws of Shari’ah, wherever he feels the need. It is therefore not necessary to perform the
Qurbani in Pakistan. If you need any clarification about this permission letter, then send your message to the Majlis
